The PJ or Pajama Cardinalfish are suited for the beginner aquarist. It is a peaceful and beautiful species that is a great addition to any community aquarium. It is a small fish species with distinct markings including orange eyes, a black band scalar margin and orange polka-dots across its posterior. It is an outstanding choice for many aquarists as it is hardy and peaceful with many other species.
This species is native to reefs within the Indo-Pacific Region.

PJ Cardinalfish can be kept singly and in small or large groups. They are reef safe and can get along peacefully with other non-aggressive fish.
Feeding:
PJ Cardinalfish are carnivores so their diet should consist of a variety of live and frozen food. This could include copepods, brine and Mysis shrimp, bloodworms and flake foods.

PJ Cardinalfish require a minimum tank size of approximately 115L. They are a slow, methodical swimmer and like hide in seagrass and other plants. These fish are jumpers so it is recommended to keep a lid on the tank, especially when first introduced.
