Catfish

Catfish is a name commonly used for a wide group of mostly bottom-dwelling fishes. Many of these species have whiskers of varying size around their mouth which are sensory aids in detecting food. Catfish are popular as aquarium scavengers. They are very useful at locating uneaten food lying on the substrate. Catfish occur in a wide range of shapes and sizes, including some very beautiful colour patterns.
